The SIGMA Photowalk leads to the Small Bastion near Schmilka at sunset in April .

Under professional guidance, the SIGMA Photowalk will give you a refresher on the basics of photography and, of course, numerous tips and tricks on design rules. The use of different focal lengths will also be discussed. All participants of the SIGMA Photowalk are picked up where they are photographically. The photowalk leader will accompany you on your photographic journey with his expertise and exciting tasks. There will also be plenty of time to ask individual questions!
During the photowalk, you will have the opportunity to try out various SIGMA lenses on site under supervision. The SIGMA lens loan is included in the price. There is a limited selection of rental lenses available!

Start is at 18:00 at the Tourist Service in Bad Schandau (Markt 1-11, 01814 Bad Schandau). There you can borrow the SIGMA lenses and then take the bus to Schmilka at 18:15.

This time, the fresh greenery and the ideal position of the sun will lure us to the Small Bastion near Schmilka. Contrary to what the name suggests, the Kleine Bastei is not located directly in the well-known Bastei area. Rather, it is a viewpoint up the Elbe, just before the border with the Czech Republic, where you have a great view across the Elbe valley to the Lilienstein. At this time of year, the sun sets directly over the Lilienstein. Perhaps the strenuous climb over numerous steps will be rewarded with a powerful sunset.
On site, you will work more with the telephoto lens. However, there are also motifs along the way where you can use a moderate wide-angle lens.

Philipp Zieger recommends the following equipment:
- Headlamp
- Sturdy tripod
- Polarizing filter
- Focal lengths of 24-400mm
