Hiking on the Malerweg Trail

Fascinating not only for Romantics

The Elbe Sandstone Mountains Malerweg Trail (Painters’ Trail) in Saxon Switzerland is one of Germany’s most beautiful hiking routes. Where once painters found their inspiration for immortal works of art, hikers today can follow a 116 km long trail through Saxon Switzerland.
