Mobility Centre - Upper Elbe Transport Association
A railway has been running between Bad Schandau and Sebnitz for over 130 years. Due to the challenging mountain character, impressive engineering achievements were made back then. The 15.5-kilometre-long line is characterised by 7 tunnels, 2 viaducts, curves, valley sections and a difference in altitude of about 200 metres. Today, modern railcars offer the highest level of ride comfort and enable, for example, a comfortable journey to hiking and climbing destinations such as Mittelndorf or Rathmannsdorf in the Saxon Switzerland National Park.
