Saxon Switzerland in miniature
Master stonemason and sculptor Jan Lorenz and his family combine craftsmanship with art in his miniature park. The most important buildings in the region can be found here, as well as the most striking rock formations and legendary means of transportation. Most of the scenes come to life at the touch of a button. For example, the Kirnitzsch Valley Railway sets off here, a carnival procession marches past, blasting takes place in the quarry and elsewhere the Richard Wagner monument, which originally stands in Liebethaler Grund, appears dramatically with fog, light and music from the depths.
A highlight for railroad enthusiasts is the 1st German Miniature Mountain Railway, which transports passengers 900 meters through the park. A steam locomotive is even used on special occasions! In the show workshop, visitors can experience how new miniatures, decorative items and commissioned works are created from sandstone.
Sea of lights in Advent
On several Advent weekends and between Christmas and New Year's Eve, the entire park is romantically decorated and illuminated to great effect after dark. The "Christmas in the Little Saxon Switzerland Miniature Park" program includes Advent crafts, gnome quizzes and rides on the gnome express. There are also Christmas treats and warm drinks.Color Bathing
The miniature landscape of Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland is illuminated in a frenzy of colors and a wonderful night-time glow during the color bathing event, which takes place several times a year. In the darkness of the evening, the intricately designed rock formations and sights become the backdrop for a light and laser show and a video performance. Over 140 network-controlled LED spotlights transform the park planted with bonsais beneath the old quarry wall into a veritable sea of lights and lend it a romantic flair. There are also various smaller laser illuminations and fog sources that create additional effects. Numerous artists entertain the audience at this innovative light spectacle. Fire pits underneath the quarry wall create a romantic campfire atmosphere. Night rides on the park railroad become a completely new experience in the dark.Experience the beauty of Saxon Switzerland in miniature in a charming setting and take about 1 hour for the tour.
