Lutheran St. John's Church (Bad Schandau)

Short facts

Worth seeing church at the market of Bad Schandau

The 56-metre-high church on the market square was built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries from Postelwitz sandstone - the baroque pulpit even from a single block. The Renaissance altar, originally created around 1575 for the Dresden Kreuzkirche, is remarkable. It found its way to St. John's Church along winding paths and was erected in 1927.
