View from the Prince George Tower

The 537 metre high Ungerberg near Neustadt in Saxony is also a popular excursion destination in winter. From the Prinz-Georg-Turm tower, hikers have a marvellous view of Neustadt and the surrounding area as well as Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland. The cool, clear air provides expansive views that are not available in summer. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the Jizera Mountains and the Giant Mountains. An excursion restaurant offers excellent food and drinks for hungry hikers.

Winter hiking tip:With hunger to the Unger

Be careful, the cool air usually brings snow and ice with it, in these weather conditions it is advisable to hire ice skates - for example at the Bad Schandau tourist service.
