Tiské steny (rock town)

Short facts

A labyrinth of sandstone rocks

The Tyssa Walls is the name given to the protected rock town near the village of Tisá in the Ústí nad Labem district. This rock town is unique both in terms of its size and the diversity of its rock formations. The Tisá Walls form a labyrinth of sandstone cliffs, with rock needles rising up to 70 metres high. The highest point of the Tyssa Walls is 613 metres. There are two marked circular routes for visitors through the so-called Small and Great Walls. It is forbidden to enter the rock town outside of these marked paths. An entrance fee is charged in the summer season.
