Kuckuckstein Castle in Liebstadt
In the foothills of the Osterzgebirge, high above the valley of the Seidewitz, in the smallest town in Saxony, Liebstadt, lies Kuckuckstein Castle. Away from the usual tourist paths of Saxon Switzerland, but still in the immediate vicinity, it towers above the wooded slopes. Even the journey via Pirna, through the picturesque Seidewitz Valley, is an incomparable experience. History still breathes here in its most original form. Even Napoleon could not escape this flair and for the Masonic Lodge the castle is still a focal point of their work.
The castle café is open every Sunday in summer. Guided tours of the castle are available on request.
