Winter festival "Wintersterne" Saxon Switzerland: Castle concert at Prossen Castle
With the brass quintet of the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory, you will experience a young and at the same time already very successful ensemble. One of the musicians is a prizewinner of this year's national competition "Jugend musiziert". In the classical line-up of trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba, the Dresdeners follow in the footsteps of the famous "Canadian Brass", whose groundbreaking arrangements have taken a liking to them.
Just like their role models from Toronto, the five musicians span the musical spectrum from baroque with its great composers such as Bach, Handel and Haydn to traditional music from many parts of the world and modern pieces from jazz and film music. The program is wonderfully complemented by other young artists from the Conservatory, who perform classical castle music at its finest.
