Travel through time: discover the magic of traditional craftsmanship at Schmilk'schen Mühle!

Immerse yourself in the world of traditional craftsmanship and gain an insight into the workings of a historic watermill! Lovers of artisan baked goods have the opportunity to take part in a fascinating and entertaining guided tour of the fully restored watermill in Schmilka, which has been lovingly preserved by hand.

In the mill, which was built in 1665, organic grain is ground into coarse flour between two sandstones using water power. Experience a journey through the historical production processes and discover the many facets of the overshot water mill. Let yourself be amazed with all your senses by the technical sophistication with which the finest stone-ground flour is produced from organically grown grain.

To round off your experience, we recommend you try the freshly baked products from the wood-fired bakery right next door. To top it all off, you can take home a bag of high-quality spelt flour and bake delicious bread for your loved ones.
