The Elbe Sandstone Mountains provide such an abundance of sceneries, moods, details – they are a paradise for photographers!

Photos featuring Saxon Switzerland motifs have often been prize winners. For the Windows 7 operating system the photo of Bastei Bridge was even chosen as desk-top image. As early as in 1853, the famous photographer Hermann Krone took the first photos ever of Saxony at the Bastei Bridge.

The amazing natural landscape of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains is just perfect for photographic expeditions, and so, many photographers offer photo workshops in Saxon Switzerland. Their contents vary, with photo workshops for beginners as well as for advanced participants, courses focusing on special motifs or generally on landscape and nature photography.
