Saxon Switzerland is a fantastic photo model – distinctive, so natural and infinitely patient. And you can rely on it in all seasons and in almost all kinds of weather. It is so changeable, sometimes shows its mysterious, then its joyful side, another time appears rather cool and then wild again, but always a bit fathomless. Even on rainy days photographers find exciting motifs, though not primarily at the viewing points. But the gorges and ravines then appear even more mystic and jungle-like. And who ever has seen one of the famous sunrises above a sea of mist understands why some photographers regularly rise in the middle of the night for this spectacle.
