Anspruchsvolle Tour, die das große zusammenhängende Waldgebiet südlich von Cunnersdorf im Elbsandsteingebirge erschließt. Eine Empfehlung besonders für heiße Tage.
In the southern Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the rocks only characterise the landscape in the large stream valleys running towards the Elbe. Instead, the large forest area between Cunnersdorf and the state border with the Czech Republic is almost uninhabited and therefore appears very secluded. A large part of the tour leads through this area on tarmac forest roads that are closed to public transport. Along the route you will not only find the Taubensteich and Fuchsteich ponds and the reconstructed historic Brausenstein blast furnace, but also a few dinosaur models left alone as a curiosity not far from the road in Bielatal-Reichstein. Although the second part of the tour mainly leads back to the starting point on public roads, these are only of minor importance and therefore less frequented. There is also the option of an alternative shorter route on non-public, partly gravelled farm tracks.
