Kleinstein and Kleinstein Cave

Short facts

  • Sebnitz
  • Natural monument,…

Beautiful winter viewpoint and dome-like passage cave

In summer, the Kleinstein is a popular climbing rock and in winter, the vantage point impresses with an outstanding panoramic view. Due to the cool, clear air, especially in winter you get wide views that are not available in summer. After the Kuhstall, the Kleinsteinhöhle  is the second largest rock gate in Saxon Switzerland. With a bit of luck, the sandstone rocks are covered by a thin layer of snow.

Caution, the cool air usually also brings snow and slippery conditions, so in these weather conditions it is advisable to hire ice dodgers - for example from the Bad Schandau tourist service.
