Johanniswacht viewpoint

Short facts

The Johanniswacht is particularly recommendable in winter. It offers an impressive panoramic view, especially of the striking rock spires on the opposite side of the valley, such as the Hercules Pillars, which with a little luck are covered by a light layer of snow. In addition, the view extends to the left to the Königstein Fortress, which is visible on the horizon. The Johanniswacht can be reached along the hiking trail with the symbol of the "yellow dot".

Caution, the cool winter air usually also brings snow and slippery conditions, in these weather conditions it is advisable to rent ice dodgers - e.g. at the Bad Schandau Tourist Service.
