Großer Zschirnstein (table mountain)

Short facts

  • Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna
  • Viewpoint/viewing tower,…

On the highest elevation in Saxon Switzerland

The Großer Zschirnstein is a table mountain, 561 m high and thus the highest peak in Saxon Switzerland. It opens up a fairytale view of Bohemian Switzerland, e.g. the Hoher Schneeberg, as well as of rocks in Saxon Switzerland and the mountains of the Osterzgebirge.
Particularly in winter, you can enjoy an excellent view from here.
With a bit of luck, the surrounding landscape will be covered with a thin layer of snow

Caution, the cool air usually also brings snow and slippery conditions, in these weather conditions it is advisable to hire ice dodgers - for example from the Bad Schandau Tourist Service.
