• For organisational reasons, this hike can only be booked up to 7 days before the date of arrival.
• We recommend sturdy ankle-high hiking boots for the tours as well as a small rucksack for food and rain protection.
• A good basic level of fitness, surefootedness and a head for heights are required for this hiking tour.
• The complete overview of the booked accommodation is noted on the travel confirmation/invoice and will only be sent to the guest by post by the tour operator after booking the trip.
• Communication during the trip is possible in the following languages: German and English.
• The tour is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

• Day 1: Individual journey to Bad Schandau
• Stroll through the market towards the spa gardens and enjoy the calming charm of the spa town in Saxon Switzerland to get in the mood for your short hiking tour.
• Day 2: Bad Schandau - Schrammsteine - Kirnitzschtal (approx. 13 km, walking time: approx. 5.5 h)
• The first destination is the Schrammsteine with the marvellous Schrammstein view. In this part of Saxon Switzerland, there are some steep climbs and metal steps to overcome. After you have enjoyed the wide panoramic view of the Schrammsteine and completed the descent into the Kirnitzschtal valley, it is worth making a detour of around 700 metres to the Lichtenhain waterfall and an afternoon coffee. Take the bus back to Bad Schandau.
• Day 3: Krippen - Königstein Fortress (approx. 18 km, approx. 6.5 h)
• On the morning of the second hiking tour in Saxon Switzerland, take the Elbe ferry to Krippen and then start a hike that takes you to the left of the Elbe to the Papststein and Gohrisch table mountains. Here, too, you will be spoilt with wonderful views (if the weather cooperates). The highlight of the hiking tour is certainly the visit to Königstein Fortress. High above the town of the same name, the ‘unconquerable’ is enthroned and offers all kinds of history to discover. Return to Bad Schandau by S-Bahn in the late afternoon.
• Day 4: Stadt Wehlen - Bastei - Rathen spa town (approx. 6 km, approx. 2 h)
• On today's hike, you will experience the breathtaking cliffs from the water as you travel by boat to Wehlen. You hike up to the famous Bastei with the Bastei Bridge. Enjoy the view in all directions before descending back down into the Elbe valley to the spa town of Rathen. The return journey to Bad Schandau is by S-Bahn.
• Day 5: Neumannmühle - Schmilka (approx. 14 km, approx. 5.5 h)
• You will hike along a section of the varied Malerweg trail through the rear part of Saxon Switzerland. Shortly before reaching today's destination, you climb up to the large Winterberg, which at 556 metres is the second-highest mountain in Saxon Switzerland. From Schmilka, take the train back to your overnight accommodation.
• Day 6: free time
• Whether a hike to the hand puppet town of Hohnstein with a visit to the medieval castle complex, a leisurely day in Bad Schandau with a visit to the Toskana Therme spa or a detour to Bohemian Switzerland. The Elbe Sandstone Mountains hiking region has a lot to offer!
