Circular hike on little-used paths with beautiful viewpoints and a wonderful picnic spot by an idyllic pond.

The beautiful spa town of Gohrisch is a popular vacation resort in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains south of the Elbe and an ideal starting point for this not-too-difficult circular hike. The hiking trail is mostly easy to negotiate and there is essentially only one challenging descent and a short ascent immediately afterwards. The path to the Liliensteinblick viewpoint is interspersed with roots in places, but the short detour at the start of the tour is definitely worthwhile. The Lapidarium and Arboretum is also located nearby, which is fenced off to protect it from wildlife and is accessible via two self-closing gates. The picnic area at the Hörnelteich pond is ideal for an extended break. Incidentally, this can also be reached easily via a short route from Gohrisch (this tour in the opposite direction) on paved paths, which is why the excursion there is particularly recommended for e-wheelchair users.
