Wheelchair tour "To the Amselsee in Rathen"

From the Kurort Rathen S-Bahn station, head to the ferry (parking lot), which will take you to the other side of the Elbe. Both the short steep ascent from the ferry (approx. 10%) and an equally short steep section (approx. 12%) two hundred meters further on at the junction to Amselgrund are best tackled with the help of a companion.The route is now relatively flat through the village until coarse sandstone paving replaces the concrete blocks and asphalt surface shortly before the entrance/box office to the Rathen rock stage. Although this has been partially milled off, it is still quite difficult to ride on in places. From the promenade along the Amselsee, however, there are always beautiful views of such striking climbing peaks of the Rathen rock world, such as the "Lokomotive", "Talwächter" and "Mönch". We take the same route back.
