Walk on Königstein Fortress along the top of the wall with views in all directions as far as Dresden and over Saxon Switzerland.

In good weather conditions, a visit to Königstein Fortress (admission required) can be perfectly combined with a panoramic tour directly along the rocky edge of Table Mountain, as the Postenweg trail on the mountain plateau connects all the upper structures of the fortress wall. Although there are some short and not too steep ascents/descents as well as several fairly narrow passages on the not always paved surface, these should be easily manageable - if necessary with appropriate support from a companion. In any case, the view through the embrasures to the foot of the fortifications and over the surrounding area is just as impressive as the extensive 360° panorama that presents itself in sections during the walk.
