Hinterhermsdorf (Erbgericht)
Hinterhermsdorf (Erbgericht)
From the starting point of the hike (Hinterhermsdorf car park / bus stop, Erbgericht), we first walk northwards in the direction of Weifberg (blue line, Weifbergstraße, then Nixdorfer Straße). The yellow dot later takes us to the foot of the 32 metre, 173-step high viewing tower on the Weifberg. There is a magnificent panoramic view of the natural and cultural landscape of Saxon Switzerland as far as Bohemia. Our tour continues down the Weifberg (red line towards Schäferräumicht). We hike across an open area and keep left at the next fork in the road (Follow trail, yellow and red line). We descend into the valley until we reach a crossroads, where we turn left (Bammelweg, yellow line). Initially the route goes uphill and later down into the Weißbachtal valley. We follow the yellow line (to the right) along the valley in the direction of Hinterhermsdorf.
In this section, the Weißbach is also the border to the Czech Republic. The stream soon joins the Kirnitzsch.
At the next junction, keep right and follow the signposts towards Hinterhermsdorf (yellow line). Once we are back in the forest, we continue straight ahead until we reach the road. We continue uphill along this road (to the right). At the next signpost, we turn slightly left and continue along the cycle route. After a few metres, we turn left at the house and walk downhill. We keep right to cross the stream. Now we follow the track further uphill. In the forest, we keep left but continue uphill. We then continue across the meadow and turn right onto the road. At the next junction, we turn right onto the panoramic path (yellow dot) and immediately take the field path on the left. We then continue straight ahead along the road. Then we turn right onto Oberdorgweg (yellow dot) and walk straight ahead past the yellow house on the left. We then arrive back at the signpost and our starting point.
The tour is suitable for children and dogs.
