Bad Schandau - Täppichtsteig - Hans-Förster-Weg - Balzweg - Heidepromenade - Heideweg - Potatschketal - Königstein.
The Three Stones Route leads from Bad Schandau via Kleinhennersdorf to Königstein and passes three table mountains: Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, Papststein and Gohrisch. Due to the many stairs and steps that have to be mastered when crossing Gohrisch and Papststein (variant 2), the hike is classified as difficult. Especially in winter, the metal steps or snow-covered rock steps can be very slippery. Ice dudes can be rented at the Aktiv Zentrum in Bad Schandau.
The first section leads from Bad Schandau up the Täppichtsteig trail and then across wide open spaces and meadows to the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein. When you arrive in Kleinhennersdorf, the striking Schrammsteine rise up. This view of the Schrammstein is phenomenal! From a distance, the mighty rocks look even more imposing. Immediately below the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein is a game reserve. The young animals are curious and not shy. However, you should not feed them.
Then begin the ascent to the Papststein, the second table mountain on this tour. The first few metres go steeply up through the forest. Then a beautiful high-level trail begins with a fantastic view of Papstdorf and the surrounding countryside. The rustic Papststein mountain inn is located on the summit - it's worth stopping for a bite to eat! After the descent from Papststein, the path leads directly opposite up to Gohrisch. The path leads up to the summit through narrow rock crevices. After half an hour, you first reach the striking pavilion, where you can enjoy a first great view. From here, you should definitely walk to the other end of the Gohrisch to the weather vane. It's not only the way there that is worthwhile. The view is breathtaking - the Pfaffenstein, the Königstein Fortress and the Lilienstein lie at your feet! At the end of the tour, head towards Pfaffenstein, always downhill, until you reach Königstein.
The S-Bahn takes you quickly and comfortably back to the starting point of the tour in Bad Schandau.
