The tour starts at the station and first leads up to the market square. An exciting search game awaits children here. Cannonballs are hidden in the façades of the houses. They are a remnant of the fierce battles between Napoleonic and Russian troops in 1813. On the market square, an old printing press can be visited every first Saturday of the month. A visit to the newly renovated local history museum is also highly recommended, as here you can learn more about the former castle of Dohna.
From the market, continue towards the Ploschwitzer Höhe to the Pilz lookout point. On a clear day, the view extends over the town of Dohna to the slopes of the Elbe. The hike now leads along the signposted circular route through the Spargründe nature reserve with babbling brooks. Then it's back to the station.
