Berggießhübel (Kirchberg)
This quiet hike is highly recommended when there is snow or the first spring days and the sun is shining. From the car park at the "Marie Louise Stolln" visitor mine, you have to go southwest across the crossroads. To the right of the park, a footpath leads along to the Kirchberg. As the name suggests, this is where the Berggießhübel Lutheran Church stands. A little later, you cross the main road and head south-east through the housing estate. The signposts to the "Eulensteinen" (Owl Stones) and "Eibischsteinen" (Marshmallow Stones) via the Green Dot help you find your way. Unfortunately, forestry work has left clear traces on this section of the trail, which runs through a beautiful forest. Large stones lie here, overgrown with moss, looking as if they had fallen out of a giant's pocket. Because all around, there is no sign of larger rocks. It is therefore a beautiful place, but unfortunately it has suffered greatly due to recent forestry work.Shortly before Bahra, there is a small, private game reserve on the edge of the forest and in a beautiful clearing. The detour to Bahra takes you along detached houses. Here it is important to always keep to the right, to choose the right path at every turn.Once you reach the historic iron road, the path leads straight ahead. When the first signs of spring appear here, you can hear the birds chirping and the light shining through the forest. In Berggießhübel, you have to walk a short distance along the "S173" before turning left onto a small access road to the street "Am Kaffeeberg".
This hike is a blue route (easy tour, mostly level, often cleared, almost always hikeable).
