Markersbach bus stop "Gasthaus zur Linde" or Markersbach hikers' car park
Markersbach bus stop "Gasthaus zur Linde" or Markersbach hikers' car park
From the starting point, you can follow the newly created Buchenhain forest nature trail (unmarked) and pick up a few interesting facts along the way. The route then continues along a wide forest road to the Kochemoor nature reserve. Then follow the forest path markings in the direction of Zeisigstein. At 551 metres, the Zeisigstein is the third highest peak in Saxon Switzerland. After a rest at the Zeisigstein, continue along the Forststeig trail to the second viewpoint: the Hartenstein. You reach it via an iron bridge. From there, you return to the Markersbach hiking car park or the bus stop.
Forestry work and hunting may take place here in winter. Please follow the instructions on site.
Hiking boots are recommended. We also recommend taking food and drink with you, as there are no refreshment stops on the circular hike.
The hike is particularly recommended in spring.
Via Königstein, Langhennersdorf to Bahra.
