One of the most beautiful tours in the Vordere Sächsische Schweiz is the ride from the Bastei through the rocky gorges of Rein-, Kohl- and Tscherregrund down to Wehlstädtel on the Elbe. Here you can get as close to the rocks as rarely before, even in a wheelchair or on a handbike. It's not about impressive distant views - because these are not to be found along the route - but much more about the experience of experiencing narrow, romantic rocky valleys in all their diversity. However, the route described here is not a circular tour, so logistics should also be taken into account when planning.
