The start and end points are the railway station in Sebnitz. The tour first leads along the RockHead through the silk flower town. In Amtshainersdorf, we turn right at the riding centre. Please take care here - especially in the afternoons there are also riders on the road. The route continues through the gold mines to Schönbach, a pretty village with half-timbered houses. After the Endler campsite, turn left onto the gravel track up to Schönbacher Berg. Once at the top, you can recharge your batteries while enjoying the view from the small rest area.
Shortly afterwards, the route continues directly to the right at the edge of the clearing. A short downhill and uphill section, past cow pastures, leads us onto a beautiful stretch above Ulbersdorf with panoramic views of Saxon Switzerland. Here we deviate from the RockHead, which continues to Lohsdorf, but follow the cycle path to Krumhermsdorf. We follow the green and white cycle path signs through the village and end up at the foot of the Ungerberg, where we continue upwards on a beautiful forest path. At the top, the restaurant awaits thirsty cyclists and the Unger Tower offers a 360-degree view of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the Upper Lusatian highlands.
The route then descends rapidly. We cross the road and cycle through Rugiswalde for a while before returning to Sebnitz on the freshly tarmaced cycle path. There is hardly any pedalling left here.
