The tour starts at the parking lot of the natural swimming pool in Goßdorf and leads along the mountain road into the village. At the Butterlecke turn left and follow the signs to Hankehübel. At this wonderful viewpoint, the landscape is at your feet. On the cattle trail you first cross fields, then a narrow ridge trail through forest and over rocky ridges to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss. Many sagas and legends entwine around this place. A picnic area and reconstructed walls make this place very special.
Via stairs you now descend into the Schwarzbach valley and cross the river on a large stone block hewn from a block. Immediately afterwards, turn right into the Sebnitz valley. Immediately after the railroad underpass the path continues to the left and goes below the railroad embankment directly along the river.
At the next crossroads, cross under the railroad line and follow the "Grüner Strich" ("green line") markings through hillside forests with stately giant trees. At the resting place "Auf dem Schirm" you again have a wonderful view of Saxon Switzerland. On a wider path and later on a service road you reach Ulbersdorf. Before entering the village, it is worth taking a short detour to the Hutberg, and in the village to the castle. At the sports field, the Blauer Strich marker leads to the left onto the Langer Weg, which leads downhill into the Schwarzbachtal valley. At the bottom of the valley, continue to the left in the romantic valley. After a bridge and before a tunnel of the former narrow-gauge railroad, the Blauer Strich marker turns right. On the so-called Briefträgersteig you hike uphill, the last section is part of a geological circular hiking trail. The Gickelsberg, a striking basalt cone with natural mountain meadows that have become rare, is the crowning glory of the hike at 414 m above sea level. Downhill and always with wide views of the landscape, the path now leads down and past the outskirts of the village and an exhibition of historical agricultural equipment to the starting point of our tour.
Can be walked all year round. However, you should use Grödel in sections when it is icy. Be careful with high snow on the way to the Goßdorfer Raubschloß.
Hiking boots, food
The tour is also suitable for smaller groups. It is advisable to take hiking provisions with you, as there are no refreshment stops along the way.
Optimally about city Hohnstein or city Sebnitz
