This lovely hiking tour runs through beautiful forests from Čertova Voda to Decin and the zoo. You pass interesting places and views along the way.
The tour leads from Čertova Voda on the Elbe past some interesting springs to Maxicky and from there directly to Decin to the zoo, which is located outside the town on a hill. From various points, you can look out over Decin and the surrounding countryside.

The tour starts at the "Decin-Certova Voda" stop and from there follows the yellow and then the green line up the hill to Maxicky.
From Maxicky, follow the yellow line to Decin. In the settlement of "Cerveny Vrich", leave the yellow line and follow the road of the same name for a short distance. Then turn left into the next road and walk down the hill. At the end of the road, turn right again and follow the road called "Belska" up the hill for a short distance before turning left again into the forest and towards the zoo.
After a short ascent over serpentines, follow the red line to the left to Pastyrska Stena, where a restaurant of the same name stands in a small castle.
From Pastyrska Stena, follow the path behind the castle to Decin Zoo, which is definitely worth a visit.
From Decin Zoo, the route then descends down Zizkova Street into the town, past a Jewish cherry tree and almost directly to Decin railway station, where the tour ends.
Along the way, you will pass interesting views where it is well worth taking binoculars. The town of Decin is also worth exploring beyond the tour - especially the castle.
Sturdy shoes and sufficient provisions are recommended, as some of the paths are unpaved and it is better to bring something to drink and eat.
You can stop for refreshments in Maxicky (a little past the crossroads in the village, where you turn from the green to the yellow line), on the Pastyrska Stena and at the zoo in Decin.
You can drive to Bad Schandau National Park railway station by car and park there.
To get there, we recommend taking the National Park railway U28 from Bad Schandau National Park station in the direction of Decin to Decin-Certova Voda station.
