Diese Tour führt uns durch die Sächsisch-Böhmische Schweiz und gewährt uns tolle Aussichten von zwei Aussichtspunkten in die reizvolle Umgebung.
To get to the starting point of this hike, we take the Saxon-Bohemian National Park Railway from Bad Schandau National Park station to Mikulasovice (Nixdorf) in the Czech Republic as far as the ‘Niederer Bahnhof’ stop.We cross the railway tracks and follow the ‘Blauer Strich’ signs. A narrow path winds along this signposting to Tanzplan (595 m). This is one of the highest mountains in the Schluckenauer Zipfel. There has been a viewing tower on the Tanzplan since 1905. Those who climb up are rewarded with a panoramic view of Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland and the Upper Lusatian mountains. The restaurant is closed in the winter months - the tower is open all year round. The descent leads along forest paths in the direction of Tomasov (Thomasdorf). We stay on the ‘blue line’ markings. Before entering Tomasov, our hiking trail branches off to the left. We follow this for approx. 1.5 kilometres until a path marked with a ‘green line’ turns off to the right. We cross the German-Czech border and hike to the 496 metre high Wachberg. From the terrace and veranda of the ‘Wachbergbaude’, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz. We walk down the valley to Saupsdorf on the ‘Roter Strich’ signposting. This village is a small idyll characterised by half-timbered and half-timbered houses. Our hike ends here and we take the hiking bus line 241 back to Bad Schandau.
