Travelling by car
The spa town of Rathen is divided into two parts by the River Elbe. On the right side is the district of Niederrathen and on the left Oberrathen. Both parts of the town are connected by a passenger ferry.
Before travelling, you should find out exactly which side you have booked your accommodation on and plan your route accordingly. The Niederrathen district is also traffic-calmed and can only be accessed with a special permit.
Day tourists can only park/arrive in Oberrathen - station side on our large car park on the Elbe and then take the ferry to Bastei/Amselsee/Felsenbühne. (Navieingabe: Elbweg 10, Kurort Rathen)
