By train
to Pirna or Bad Schandau. Bus connections to Hohnstein are available at the railway stations. From Pirna, bus routes 236 and 237 will take you to your destination in 35 minutes. From Bad Schandau, bus route 254 takes passengers to Hohnstein in around 20 minutes.
By car
via the A13 motorway from Berlin or from the west via the A4 motorway from Frankfurt am Main. In Dresden, continue in the direction of Görlitz on the A4 motorway. In Burkau, take the exit to Hohnstein. From there it is another 15 kilometres to your destination.
On the A4 motorway from Chemnitz, take the A17 towards Prague shortly before Dresden. Leave the motorway in Pirna in the direction of the Bastei. After crossing the Elbe, you soon reach Lohmen and shortly afterwards the turn-off to the Bastei. Follow the road towards Hohnstein, which you will reach after 10 minutes
