Freshly pressed edible oils from the oil mill
The Porschendorfer Mühle was opened in September 2015 and offers a wide range of native, cold-pressed oils from its own manufactory.
The oils are produced in small batches, bottled and labelled by hand. Preferably, regional oil seeds are used for pressing. In the farm shop, it is possible to taste all the oils and find out about ingredients and recipes.
The range includes linseed oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, pumpkin seed oil, hemp oil, camelina oil, walnut oil, sesame oil and black cumin oil. The farm shop mainly offers freshly pressed edible oils in raw food quality. It is possible to taste samples and get advice. Nine different seeds are currently pressed, which are sourced from the region whenever possible (flax, sunflower, rapeseed, walnut, pumpkin, hemp, sesame, gold of pleasure, black cumin).
In addition to the oils, fresh products such as yoghurt and curd cheese are also offered to order. The range of durable products includes vegetable oils (own production) and vinegar, spreads/jams, honey, handmade sweets, tea, drinks as well as non-food products such as soaps.
In addition to the shopping facilities, guided tours of the mill are offered on request and a farm festival is held on Whit Monday.
