The Birkwitz bathing lake is a former quarry pond with a water surface area of around 100,000 m². It offers both sandy and stony shore areas. There is a separate dog beach.
Snack stands with covered seating are available. Toilet facilities are available. Bringing glass containers is prohibited. Open fires and barbecues are not permitted.
