Short facts

Special exhibition

King John rides proudly on his statue in front of the Dresden Semperoper. The former royal court theater has always had a close relationship with the royal family. After the destruction of the first building, the second construction of the court theater began under Johann. The royal family took their seats in the royal box. The Semperoper is named after its master builder Gottfried Semper. He also created designs for Weesenstein Palace on behalf of the king.

Five Semperoper employees, a dancer, a violonist, a pianist and two stage technicians work as visual artists in their free time and are now showing their works at Weesenstein Castle.
