A film by Cottbus filmmaker Donald Saischowa about Friedrich's contemporaries
Carl Blechen (1798-1840) is one of the most important landscape painters of the early 19th century alongside Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840).
The film also explores Blechen's relationship with Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Johan Christian Clausen Dahl, including an imaginary encounter with Caspar David Friedrich.
